10 People died 33 others were Injured in Jammu Kashmir, a bus carrying pilgrims to Shivkhori in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi came under a terrorist attack on Sunday. police and officials said. The bus rolled down a gorge following the attack.
The incident occurred at 6:10 pm when the terrorists opened fire on the bus that was returning from Shiv Khori temple in Reasi to Katra, police said. With the help of local villagers, police evacuated all the passengers by 8:10 pm. Superintendent of Police (SP) Reasi supervised the evacuation and rushed the injured to different hospitals.
“Initial reports suggest that terrorists fired upon the passenger bus going from Shiv Khori to Katra. Due to the firing, the bus driver lost balance of the bus and it fell into gorge. 33 people were injured in the incident. Rescue operation has been completed. The identities of the passengers have not been confirmed yet, they are not locals. Shiv Khori shrine was secured and area domination was done,” said SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma.

Jammu Kashmir National Conference chief Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah condemned the incident. In a statement released on social media site X, the party said: “JKNC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have strongly condemned today’s terror attack in Reasi, J&K.
They stated that such violent acts pose a significant barrier to attaining enduring peace in the region. They called on all communities to unite during these challenging times and back initiatives aimed at achieving lasting harmony. They also extended their heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families, expressing their deep sympathy during this tragic period.”
