Directed by Kiran Rao, “Laapataa Ladies” is an a Bollywood comedy-drama film. Featuring the rural landscapes of India in 2001, chaos ensues when two young brides become separated from a train, leading to a merry mishap. The movie released on March 1st. Throughout the little nuances of a newlywed young couple travelling through multiple modes of transport just to reach their village and facing the most basic problems during travel. Immediately that an innocent mistake is going to happen, and that will set in motion – a chain of unprecedented events.

The film, directed by Kiran Rao, managed to collect ₹ 0.65 Cr India net on its first day, reported Sacnilk. Laapataa Ladies had an overall 8.12% Hindi occupancy on Friday. The film clashed with Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya’s Dune: Part Two at the box office. The evening shows had the highest occupancy rate at 8.90%, followed by afternoon shows with an occupancy rate of 7.91% and the morning shows that had 7.55% occupancy rate, reported Sacnilk.

The film opened to largely positive reviews from film critics. In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave laapta ladies 3.5 stars out of 5 and he wrote, “Adapted from a story by Biplab Goswami and scripted by Sneha Desai (who has also written the dialogues with additional inputs from Divyanidhi Sharma), Laapataa Ladies is a social satire with a pronounced feminist accent that gives the film its rationale.

The film is breezy and light on its feet. It is never, therefore, in danger of being bogged down by the weighty issues that it addresses. Its simple clarion call is in favour of the rights of women who are robbed of their dreams post-marriage and it is couched in simple methods that do not seek to draw too much attention to them.”

1st Day box office collection of Kaagaz 2

Starring Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, and late actor Satish Kaushik, Kaagaz 2 is a Bollywood film featuring the challenges faced by an ordinary individual whose basic right to life is disrupted by demonstrations and gatherings. The movie hit the movie theatres on 1 March, 2024. The movie is written by Suman Ankur and Khandelwal Shshank and directed by V.K Prakash.


People had high expectations from Satish Kaushik’s last film Kaagaz 2.

Even though the story of the film is good, the film has not been able to make any special collection at the box office. Apart from Satish Kaushik, Anupam Kher is in the lead role in the film.

The story of the film is based on the problems faced by the common public due to traffic jams caused by political rallies. It has been released only on 350 screens in All India. The occupancy that the film has got on 350 screens is correct.

Let us tell you that the film Kaagaz 2 has been able to collect only Rs 2 lakh at the box office on the first day. (Kaagaz 2 Movie) Even though it may not have collected much at the box office on the first day, the film makers are hopeful that the film will do well at the box office on Saturday and Sunday. If estimated, the film can collect up to Rs 5-6 lakh at the box office on the second day i.e. Saturday.

1st Day box office collection of Dune:Part two

In India, it debuted on Friday with a Rs. 2.5 crore collection, per industry tracker Sacnilk.

Dune: Part Two’ features Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler and Anya Taylor-Joy. A third and final installment could be up next.

The movie has made a powerful entrance at the box office in the United States, earning a whopping $12 million in preview screenings.

This is an action adventure drama movie produced under the banner Warner brothers.  The movie is written by Denis Villeneuve, Jon Spaihts, Frank Herbert and directed by Denis Villeneuve. Between spooky Bene Gesserit shenanigans, eerie Harkonnen lairs, and an at-times chilling Hans Zimmer score, this two-and-a-half-hour ride is filled with hair-raising moments. It might be a science fiction epic in the front and a fantasy in the back, but Dune is at its absolute best when it’s a horror movie.
