The 105 second video is going viral on social media platform X (earlier Twitter). In this, 7 people are seen standing in a dirty room. Among them, a person named Gagandeep Singh narrates his story. The remaining 6 people are standing together in the corner. Gagandeep tells that he had come to visit Russia in the New Year.

An agent took them to many places. Then the agent said that he would take him to Belarus. Those people did not know that a visa is required to visit Belarus. After this the agent started asking for money. Everyone gave whatever money they had to the agent. After this, when the money was not paid, the agent left those Indians on the highway, where the police caught them and handed them over to the Russian Army.

According to Gagandeep Singh, he left for Russia on 27th December to celebrate New Year. These people had travel visas for Russia, which were valid for 90 days. Then, at the behest of the agent, he traveled to Russia’s neighboring country Belarus.

Gagandeep Singh says, “When we went to Belarus (without a visa), the agent asked us for more money and then left us on the highway. Later the police caught us and handed us over to Russian Army officers. Those officers asked us for some money. Got the documents signed.” Gagandeep further explains, “Now they (Russia) are forcing us to fight a war against Ukraine.

Gagandeep Singh’s family has reached the Ministry of External Affairs. His brother Amrit Singh told NDTV, “They were forced to join the army there. Because the documents they signed in Belarus were in Russian. It said either “They should accept 10 years’ imprisonment or join the Russian army.” Allegedly these people were given 15 days of military training and then sent to the active war zone.

We urge all Indians to stay away from the Ukraine conflict.”
