7th phase of voting today, voting is taking place today i.e. on Saturday (June 1) on 57 seats in eight states and union territories. In this round, more than 10 crore voters from eight states will decide the fate of 904 candidates contesting the elections. With this, the election process which has been going on for the last two and a half months will reach its final stage and everyone will be waiting for June 4, when the results will come.
Voting for the seventh phase of general elections 2024 is on June 1. Voting is to be held for 57 seats in eight states and union territories. Voting timings are from 7 am to 6 pm. However, the Election Commission has also said that the timing of closing of polls may differ according to the parliamentary constituency.

In 57 parliamentary constituencies, voters above 85 years of age and those with disabilities have been provided the option to vote from the comfort of home. Special arrangements have been made for transportation of polling and security personnel. Polling stations have facilities like water, sheds, toilets, ramps, volunteers, wheelchairs and electricity. These steps have been taken so that every voter, including the elderly and disabled persons, can cast their vote easily. Special attention has also been given to deal with heat.

In the seventh phase, the fate of 904 candidates will be captured in EVMs. Out of 904, maximum 328 candidates are from Punjab where elections are to be held on all 13 seats. In second place, 144 candidates are contesting on a total of 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, 19 candidates have contested at least one seat in Chandigarh.
The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has released a report on the affidavits of all 904 candidates contesting in the seventh phase. According to this report, out of 904 candidates, 199 candidates are tainted. Different cases are going on in these cases. At the same time, there are 299 candidates who have declared themselves millionaires. SAD’s 13 candidates have the highest average assets of Rs 25.68 crore.
