In the distant future, humanity has spread across the universe and is governed by noble houses. The most valuable substance in the universe is spice, a drug that extends life and enhances mental abilities. The most important source of spice is the desert planet Arrakis, also known as Dune.

The film follows the story of Paul Atreides (played by Timothée Chalamet), the son of Duke Leto Atreides (played by Oscar Isaac), who is tasked with overseeing the extraction of spice on Arrakis. The Atreides family takes over the planet from House Harkonnen, led by Baron Vladimir Harkonnen (played by Stellan Skarsgård).

As Paul adapts to life on Arrakis, he begins to experience visions and dreams that hint at his future. He also forms a bond with the native Fremen people, led by Chani (played by Zendaya). Paul’s mother, Lady Jessica (played by Rebecca Ferguson), is a member of the Bene Gesserit, a secretive order with special abilities.

As tensions rise between the Atreides and Harkonnen houses, Paul becomes embroiled in a power struggle that threatens the future of Arrakis and the entire galaxy. With the help of the Fremen, Paul begins to unlock his own latent abilities and discovers his destiny as a messianic figure known as the Kwisatz Haderach. The film ends with Paul’s ascension to leadership among the Fremen and the beginning of his journey to fulfill his destiny.
