Delhi gym trainer killed by his father just hours before the wedding. In South Delhi a joyous occasion turned into mourning on Wednesday when a gym owner was stabbed to death a few hours before his wedding. Police said that 29-year-old Gaurav Singhal was allegedly murdered by his father Ranglal, who has been arrested. Police said that Ranglal carried out the incident out of anger because his son used to insult him every day.
Police said that one person has been arrested in South Delhi. It is alleged that the man murdered his 29-year-old son with a sharp weapon a few hours before the wedding procession left.
Gym owner Gaurav Singhal was stabbed several times with a knife. He died soon after being taken to a nearby hospital on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
He told that Gaurav, who runs Gym Fit Box, was stabbed 15 times on the face and chest at his house in Deoli Extension, due to which he died on the spot. Police said the murder took place hours before the young man was set to get married. Gaurav was having an arranged marriage.
At the wedding, the guests were waiting for Gaurav’s wedding procession to start amid loud music, but Gaurav was missing from there. When the guests started searching, Gaurav’s body was found soaked in blood in the park. After this the occasion of happiness turned into mourning.
All the guests were in extreme shock and grief and the incident was spine chilling for everyone. Police was called immediately and the body was sent for post-mortem. According to sources body has been given to the family for cremation.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South Delhi) Ankit Chauhan said, the victim’s body was found soaked in blood in Raju Park on Thursday morning, the hospital declared the youth brought dead. Immediately after the incident, the youth’s father went missing, after which a search for him was started and by the evening he was immediately arrested. The arrest came as a surprise to the victim’s relatives, who had previously denied any wrongdoing on the part of the family.
Detectives investigating the case found a long trail of blood leading to the room where Singhal’s body was found. This suggests that the body was dragged inside the room to avoid immediate discovery of the crime.
According to the police, initial investigation into the murder has revealed sourness in the relationship between Gaurav and his father. According to ANI report, Delhi Police said, “During the investigation, it was revealed that the father and son did not have cordial relations. The accused has also told the police that he has no remorse and that he should have done it earlier. Further investigation is underway.”
The police also found several shoe prints of different sizes in and around the room. This led the police to suspect that more than one person was involved in the murder.
A police officer familiar with the case said that initial investigation into the case revealed that Gaurav did not want to get married, but his father was pressurizing him. According to a report in HT, a police officer said, “Through local enquiry, we came to know that Singhal was in love with another woman and wanted to marry her. His family did not approve of their relationship. It is learned that there were frequent fights between Singhal and his father over this issue.” As a consequence of that father brutally stabbed his son.
