PM Modi visits Assam for 2 days to inaugurate new projects, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Assam’s capital Tezpur on Friday evening. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed him at the airport. After this he did a road show in Kaziranga. PM will stay in the guest house of Kaziranga National Park today.

PM Modi arrived by a special aircraft, took a chopper to Panbari in Golaghat from where he will undertake a 16-km road show to the Assam Police guest house at Kohora range of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve (KNPTR).

The PM reached Tezpur airport where he was received by Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. “#ModiParivarAssam is thrilled to welcome our beloved Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji to the land of Maa Kamakhya and Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev,” Sarma wrote on X.

In Assam, the Prime Minister will inaugurate projects worth about Rs 18 thousand crores. Here he will also address a public meeting. Apart from this, he will also perform the housewarming ceremony for more than 5.5 lakh houses built under the PM Modi Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

He will leave for Arunachal Pradesh on March 9 in the afternoon. In Tawang he will inaugurate the Sela Tunnel built at Rs 825 crore. This tunnel will connect Tawang in Arunachal to Tezpur in Assam. At 1.30 pm, the PM will inaugurate the 84 feet tall statue of famous Ahom warrior Lachit Borphukan at Hollonga Pathar in Jorhat. This structure will be known as the ‘Statue of Valor’.

The projects that the PM will inaugurate include the Rs 3,992 crore pipeline project from Barauni to Guwahati. Will lay the foundation stone for expansion of Digboi refinery from 0.65 million metric tonnes to 1 million metric tonnes at a cost of Rs 768 crore.

He will also lay the foundation stone for expansion of Guwahati Refinery from 1 million metric tons to 1.2 million metric tons at a cost of Rs 510 crore. The Prime Minister will also address a rally in Melang Metelli.

During this, traditional Bihu and other folk songs and dances were presented on the way, and PM Modi praised them by making a post on the social media platform ‘X’. While sharing pictures of the presentations, the Prime Minister wrote on ‘X’, ‘A very special welcome took place in Golaghat district of Assam. Got a glimpse of the diverse and beautiful culture of Assam.

Today he did a jungle safari in Kaziranga National Park on Elepahant.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will land at Babatpur Airport on Saturday at around 7 pm. Will reach Srikashi Vishwanathdham by car from Babatpur. After darshan and worship here, we will go to Bareka Guest House and after night rest; we will leave for Azamgarh at around 11 o’clock on Sunday.

Laying the foundation stone for development projects for the Northeast in Itanagar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the region, which was once ignored, is fast emerging as a strong and thriving corridor for trade with South Asia and the East.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu was also present in the program. PM Modi laid out his vision for the development of the North-Eastern states, also known as the ‘seven sisters’ and said, “We are working for the development and progress of the North-East. “Today, I have the privilege of being a part of this celebration of the ‘Seven Sisters’ for the developed North-East,” he said.

He further said that we are trying to make the life of women in Assam easier and ensure that their savings increase financially. Yesterday, on the occasion of Women’s Day, our government decided to reduce the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 100.

PM Modi considers the entire Northeast as his family. Our government completed the year’s long project which was started by the Congress government and then abandoned after getting photographs taken.
