Drastic change in Haryana politics, Naib Singh Saini becomes new CM after the resignation of Khattar

A dratic change has been seen in Haryana’s politics. After the resignation of Manohar Lal Khattar from the post of CM, Naib Singh Saini becomes new CM

Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered him the oath of office and secrecy at the Raj Bhavan of Haryana. Along with the Chief Minister, other ministers of the state also took oath.

Naib Singh Saini is the state president of Haryana BJP. He comes from OBC community. In the year 1996, Saini got the responsibility of BJP organization in the state. After this, in 2002, he was made the District General Secretary of BJYM. In the year 2012, Saini was made the president of Ambala BJP. After this, Saini kept getting promoted and in 2014 he reached the assembly by winning the elections from Narayangarh.

Naib Saini is considered close to Manohar Lal Khattar. In the year 2019, he reached the Lok Sabha by winning the election from Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat. He is also a member of the Parliament’s Standing Committee on Labour. Saini was given the responsibility of the post of state BJP president in 2023. He is often seen in programs with Khattar.


The cabinet of BJP government of Haryana resigned collectively today. After this, the cabinet of Haryana government will be formed afresh. A strategy has been made to separate Jannayak Janata Party from the cabinet.

This means that now there will be no alliance between BJP and JJP in Haryana. JJP will not be included in the new cabinet.

Preparations are being made to hold assembly elections in Haryana amid the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Sources say that only a non-Jat will become the CM in Haryana.

Naib Singh Saini becomes new CM after Khattar’s resignation: Five leaders also took oath as cabinet ministers

Along with Naib Singh Saini, Kanwarpal Gurjar, Moolchand Sharma, Chaudhary Ranjit Singh Chautala, Jai Prakash Dalal and Banwari Lal took oath as ministers. Naib Saini (54) is considered close to Manohar Lal Khattar. Khattar’s second term as Chief Minister was to end at the end of October.

Kanwarpal Gurjar, who took oath as cabinet minister, is a BJP MLA from Jagadhri. He was also a cabinet minister in the Khattar government. He was also the speaker of Haryana Assembly from 2014-2019. Moolchand Sharma is BJP MLA from Ballabhgarh. He was also a minister in the previous government.

Chaudhary Ranjit Singh Chautala has also taken oath as a cabinet minister. Chaudhary Ranjit Singh is the son of former Deputy PM Chaudhary Devi Lal and appears to be the grandfather of former Haryana Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala. He won the Rania seat in the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections as an independent. After the elections, he supported BJP and became a minister in the Khattar government.

 

Jai Prakash Dalal is BJP MLA from Loharu seat of Haryana. He has been a cabinet minister in the Khattar government.  Dalal had joined the saffron party in 2014 and served in several positions – BJP’s state vice president, in-charge of BJP Kisan cell, and Jind district in-charge.

Banwari Lal is the BJP MLA from Bawal seat.  He served as the minister of co-operation and minister of scheduled classes and backward classes since 2019.

Earlier, Saini was elected leader in the BJP legislature party meeting. Union Minister Arjun Munda, party’s national general secretary Tarun Chugh and Haryana affairs in-charge Biplab Deb were present in the meeting as central observers. After being elected leader, Saini along with Khattar and other leaders met Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and staked claim to form the government.
