Manchester United playing with their arch-rivals Liverpool FC in their home Old Trafford. Manchester United had a bright start they tested Caoimhin Kelleher twice in the early minutes of the match. In the 10th minute, Wataru Endō played foul in on halfway and the Red Devils were sharp they played a long ball quickly out to Marcus Rashford who played a ball to Alejandro Garnacho who took a shot that Caoimhin Kelleher saved but nothing could he do about rebound which Scott Mctominay scored with close range volley Manchester United took a one-goal lead.
Liverpool FC had less possession in the match but after going down in a scoreline they looked more threatening in the break Andre Onana was tested by Darwin Nunez. In the 44th minute, Jarell Amorin Quansah dribbles a ball from the highway line to the edge of the box and then slides the ball for Darwin Nunez. Darwin Nunez laid off the ball to Alexis Mac Allister who scored a goal from his powerfull shot.
In the 45+2 minutes, Luiz Diaz played the ball to Darwin Nunez whose shot was saved by Andre Onana but the ball fell kindly for Mohammad Salah who scored from the rebound after checking the VAR System goal was given to Liverpool. The First Half ended with a 2-1 in scoreline in favor of the visitors.
Second Half
Both teams came back from the halftime break with the same set of players there were no changes made by either coach. In the early minutes of the second half, Manchester United put pressure on the Liverpool Defensive unit.
Darwin Nunez tried his luck from the tightest angle but his effort went wide in the 54th minute. Dominik Szoboszlai took a long-range shot from far away from the goal but his long range was off the target. In the 63rd minute of the match, Darwin Nunez’s shot was saved by Andre Onana.
In the 87th minute of the match, Manchester United won the ball from Virgil Van Dijk tried to clear it Alejandro Granacho tried to take a shot but his shot fell kindly for Antony who took a low shot and found the net. Extra time
In the 105th minute, Manchester United was not quick to respond to the Throw for Harvey Elliot who took a shot from outside the box and took a big deflection of Christian Eriksen and went into the net. Liverpool regained their lead in this match.
In the 112th minute, Konstantinos Tsimikas was dispossessed by Scott McTominay and Scott McTominay played the ball for Marcus Rashford who took a first-time shot and beat the keeper with it and Manchester United back on level terms with Liverpool FC.
In the 121st minute, Manchester United won the ball in their half and Amad Diallo played a pass to Alejandro Granacho who raced towards the goal and played a back pass to Amad Diallo who scored with a low shot and Manchester United took a lead. Amad Diallo received a yellow for his removal of the shirt and a second yellow showed to him and sent him back. The match ended in favor of the Manchester United 4-3 against Liverpool FC.
