The statement of Sana, wife of Sajid, accused of murder of two children Ayush (13) and Ahaan (6) in Badaun, has come to light. She says that she has been living in her maternal home for 15 days. In the report lodged by Vinod Thakur, the father of the deceased children, it was told that Sajid and his brother Javed had come to his house on Tuesday evening. Sajid asked for five thousand rupees from Vinod’s wife Sangeeta. He told that he needed money for his wife’s delivery. After this, he took Ayush and Ahaan to the terrace, where he killed both of them by slitting their throats with a knife. Late night, the police laid siege and killed the accused Sajid in an encounter. His brother Javed is still absconding. The reason for the murder may not be clear yet.
Accused Sajid is a resident of Sakhanu town of Alapur police station area. His shop is on the other side of the road in front of contractor Vinod Thakur’s house. He was running his hair cutting shop in Baba Colony for about two years. Her in-laws house is in Dadmai of Binawar police station. His wife Sana is living there. When Sana was asked about the incident, she denied even having any knowledge of it. She and her maternal family said that she was not even pregnant.
The post-mortem of the body of Sajid, who was killed in a police encounter, was conducted on Wednesday. Sajid was hit by three bullets in the encounter. Two bullets hit him in his chest and one bullet hit him in the side of his stomach.
Police PSC was present during the post-mortem of main murderer Sajid. His body was taken to village Sakhanu under police protection. It is being told that his grave has been dug in the graveyard of Sakhanu. His body was buried there.

When asked the reason for the murder, Vinod told that Sajid had come to ask for five thousand rupees for the delivery of his wife. It is not clear whether the money was given or not.
