After Iran IRGC attacked anti-Iranian terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria amid a raging war in Israel, Also Iran strikes missiles in Pakistan province Baluchistan on Tuesday on Sunni militant bases, The militant group has previously mounted attacks on Iranian security forces in the border area with Pakistan.

“These bases were hit and destroyed by missiles and drones,” Iranian state media reported, without elaborating.

Jan Achakzai, information minister of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, which borders Iran, declined to confirm or deny the attack. “Wait for the response of ISPR,” he said, referring to the Pakistani military’s public relations wing.

Islamabad warned that the incident could have “serious consequences” and was “completely unacceptable” in a statement released by Pakistan’s foreign office spokesperson in the early hours of Wednesday.

It was a retaliatory move; the attack comes in the wake of a deadly assault done last month on the Iranian police station, which is in the southeastern province of Baluchistan, the incident, which resulted in the death of at least 11 Irani police officers, was attributed to Jaish al-Adl by Iranian Interior Minister Ahmed Vahidi. He declared the attack was initiated from panjgur indicating a potential motive behind Iran’s recent military actions.

The border between Iran and Pakistan is approximately 959 kilometers (596 miles) long. This border stretches from the southwestern Iranian provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan to the Pakistani provinces of Balochistan and Sindh. The border follows a largely arid and sparsely populated region.

Various public figures are giving their opinion on this incident, some people are strongly opposing this attack; however, some say it was just retaliation and the civilians who were killed were collateral damage.

Miachel Kugelman a famous author tweeted that

“Iran has staged cross-border operations against Pakistan-based militants in the past, but I don’t recall anything on this scale, given reports of drones and missiles. This plunges Pakistan-Iran ties—a delicate relationship even in the best of times—into serious crisis”

Iran and Pakistan have maintained friendly and cooperative relations, marked by diplomatic ties, economic cooperation, and shared regional interests.

Iran and Pakistan have embassies in each other’s capitals, and both countries are members of various regional and international organizations.

The two countries have engaged in economic cooperation, including trade and energy projects. They have worked on initiatives like the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project, which aims to supply natural gas from Iran to Pakistan. Iran and Pakistan share common security concerns, particularly related to the stability of the border regions.

Both countries have cooperated on border management and counter-terrorism efforts.

Iran and Pakistan share historical and cultural ties, and people-to-people interactions have contributed to the strong cultural connection between the two nations.

After the retaliatory move of the Houthis on the US and the offensive attack done by Iran or Iraq, Syria, and now Pakistan, it is anticipated that they are targeting India as well. All these incidents are signaling a disturbing trend. Houthis can be designated as global terrorists soon by the Biden Administration.

Currently, India is totally against this incident, However, Iran’s continued support for Pakistan in the India–Pakistan conflict and India’s close relations with Iraq during the Iran–Iraq War greatly strained bilateral ties.
