5-year-old girl sexually assaulted and murdered in Goa, In the Vasco area of Goa, the victim’s parents found her dead body behind the construction site. According to Informative Girl was missing for a while after her parents found her they immediately shifted their daughter to Chicalim Sub-district hospitals where the doctor declared her dead. Police confirmed that she was sexually assaulted and strangled to death. 20 Laborers from the construction site were detained for questioning. The Vasco Police started a probe after the girl’s mother alleged that her daughter might have been raped and murdered.

Superintendent of Police (SP) South Goa, Sunita Sawant said that a post-mortem examination of the body revealed that the victim was sexually assaulted first and then smothered to death. We have rounded up 15 to 20 laborers working at the construction site, and our investigations and interrogations are on. The Vasco Police, on behalf of the state, has registered an offense of sexual assault and murder under sections 376, 302 of the IPC, under the POCSO Act, and also under the Goa Children Act,” she added.
She also said that all the workers who were present at the construction site, as well as those who reside there, are being questioned in connection to the case.
