Abhishek said, “We come from a poor family. My brother Anuj used to work as a truck conductor. He did not commit suicide in jail, but was murdered. I want him to get justice.” In this case, a report of accidental death has been filed by Mumbai Police at Azad Maidan police station.
At the same time, Sarpanch of Sukhchain village Manoj Kumar Godara has also raised questions on Anuj’s suicide. He said, “Anuj did not die by suicide, rather he died due to torture in police custody. This is not suicide, it is murder. This matter should be investigated by some agency.”
Like brother Abhishek and Sarpanch, Anuj’s maternal uncle Rajneesh has also raised questions on suicide. He said, “My nephew’s case should be investigated. He has not committed suicide, but was murdered in police custody.”
