Swati Maliwal Assault Case, Delhi Police’s investigation is ongoing in the case of assault on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal. On Sunday, a team of Delhi Police reached the official residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the investigation of this case. Sources gave this information.


He said that the police team has seized electronic equipment including CCTV DVR (Digital Video Recorder) so that the footage of the alleged attack on Maliwal on May 13 can be obtained. That day, Arvind Kejriwal’s close aide Bibhav Kumar had allegedly attacked an AAP Rajya Sabha member at the Chief Minister’s residence.

Swati Maliwal has alleged that the CCTV footage of the Chief Minister’s residence has been tampered with. Bibhav Kumar was arrested on Saturday and produced before a court, which sent him to five-day police custody.


The CCTV seized by the police, the CCTV during the incident is showing blank and CCTV of the time of the incident has not been found. While arguing for bibhav Kumar’s custody, Additional Public Prosecutor Atul Srivastava, appearing for Delhi Police, told the court, ‘We asked for the DVR, it was given in a pen drive…the footage was found to be blank. The iPhone has been given to the police, but now the accused is not telling the password. The phone has been formatted.

According to Police, if there is nothing to hide, people usually save the data before formatting the phone. However, the police will also try to recover the data with the help of forensic experts. Apart from this, the police will also take Vibhav to the crime spot i.e. CM residence, where they will try to find out the reason for the fight.
