Pune car crash: Six accused including minor’s father in judicial custody till June 7, now crime branch will investigate

Pune car crash, A special court in Pune has sent six accused in the car accident case to judicial custody till June 7. The father of the accused minor is also among those sent to custody. Pune Police has also added Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 65 (E) and 18 of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act against the accused’s father, bar owner and manager in the FIR of this case. Also, this case has been handed over to the Crime Branch.

Questions are continuously being raised on the police investigation in this case. Meanwhile, an officer said that apart from the blood report, there are many other evidences against the minor accused. At the same time, he also said that in the investigation so far, it has come to light that the father of the accused had tried to replace the driver in place of his son after this accident.


Pune CP Amitesh Kumar held a press conference on Friday. He said, ‘We have CCTV footage, in which the minor is seen drinking alcohol. I want to say that in this case we have not only the blood report but many other evidences. The minor was in his senses. It was not that they were so drunk that they could not understand anything. He was fully aware that his conduct could lead to an incident like Section 304 CAB. There is no evidence in the pizza party case in the police station.

In Pune city, on the intervening night of 18-19 May, a 17-year-old boy, while driving a Porsche car worth Rs 3 crore at high speed, hit a bike. The collision of the vehicle was so strong that the bike lost its balance and got dragged on the road for a long distance, due to which two people riding on it died on the spot. The people present at the spot informed the police about the accident, after which the accused minor was arrested.

14 hours after this incident, the accused minor got bail from the court with some conditions. The court had directed him to work with the traffic police for 15 days and write a 300-word essay on the effects and solutions of road accidents. Later, when the dispute escalated, the court canceled his bail. However, police investigation revealed that the accused was under the influence of alcohol and was driving the car at very high speed.
