Kim Pan-gon chose a starting eleven, Syihan Hazmi in a goal. Dion Cools, Dominic Tan, and Shahrul Saad are in the center-back position. La’Vere Corbin-Ongplayed the left wing-back and Daniel Ting played the right wing-back position. Stuart Wilkin and Brendan Gan are in the center midfield position. First-half

South Korea starts the game as clear favorites in this match. In early minutes of the game South Korea dominated the possession and created pressure on Jordan’s Defense line. South Korea had possession but did not look threatening. The Malaysian defensive unit pressing hard made the Korean side difficult to create any kind of chances. In the 16th minute, English Premier League star Son Heung-min drives at the Malaysian defense, firing a shot at goal from inside the penalty area. Syihan Hazmi does well to keep it out with his right hand. In the 21st minute, the Korean team won the corner, and the ball was swung in Jeong Woo-yeong beat the marker and headed home. First, it looked like Syihan Hazmi made a save but the replay showed that the ball had crossed the line. South Korea took a lead of 1-0.

In the early second half, the East-Asian Side kept possession and built pressure on the Red Devils. In the 52nd minute, Hwang In-beom was dispossessed by Darren Lok in a dangerous position then Lok played a pass to Arif Aiman who took a shot but it was blocked, and the ball fell for Faisal Halim who miscued his first effort before running towards the byline and looping an effort into the far side of the net. In the 58th Minute, Seol Young-woo clipped Malaysian forward Arif Aiman inside the box Malaysian side shouted for plenty.

The referee after checking from VAR System pointed toward the plenty spot. In the 62nd minute, Arif Aiman scored a goal from plenty. South Korea started to put more effort in front after trailing 2-1 in this game they made a substitution to find more productivity in front. In the 83rd Minute, the Korean team won a free-kick in the central area outside the box, Lee Kang-in hit a brilliant free-kick getting the ball over the wall. Syihan Hazmi was unlucky he handed the ball but the ball hit the crossbar and bounced down over the goal line South Korea was back on level terms.

In stoppage time Malaysian defenders tackled Oh Hyeon-gyu inside the box Referee checked the VAR System and awarded plenty to the South Korean team.  Son Heung-min scored from the plenty kick South Korea back in the lead 3-2. In the very last minute of the game, Substitute Romel Morales picked up the ball inside the Korean box and fired a shot for a clinical finish this sensational game ended with a 3-3 draw. South Korea finished second in this group and qualified for the round of 16 of the AFC Asia Cup.
