Afghanistan VS Sri Lanka Second T-20 cricket match ended with Sri Lanka winning 2^nd T-20 match by 72 runs in Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium. Sri Lanka also seal the three-match T-20 series with this win they taken 2-0 lead over Afghanistan. Sri Lanka loss the toss and they were invited to bat first.  Sadeera Samarawickrama scored 51 runs and Angelo Matthews scored not out 42 runs.

Sri Lanka scored 187/6 in 20 overs. Afghanistan lost early wickets they were never in the competition to win the match. Afghanistan was all out in 17 overs at the score of 115 runs. Angelo Mathews, , Matheesha Pathirana , Binura Fernando and Wanindu Hasaranga took 2 wickets each.

Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis had a 45-run partnership for the first wicket. In the 4^th over, Pathum Nissanka was a leg-before wicket out in a ball of Azmatullah Omarzai. Pathum Nissanka scored 25 runs off 11 balls.

In the Fifth over, Kusal Mendis was caught by Noor Ahmed at the point. Fazalhaq Farooqi took his wicket. Kusal Mendis scored 23 runs off 14 balls. In the first over, Angelo Mathews bowls good length ball in medium pace to Hazratullah Zazai. Hazratullah Zazai looks to push it away with bat but ball took outside edge and Kusal Mendis took easy catch behind the stumps. Hazratullah Zazai scored 1 run off 2 balls.

In the third over, Angelo Matthew bowls good length and around off to Ibrahim Zadran. Ibrahim Zadran play shot straight into the hands of Maheesh Theekshana. Ibrahim Zadran scored 10 runs off 7 balls. In the fourth over, Maheesh Theekshana bowls fuller length ball in the middle stumps to Rahmanullah Gurbaz who tried to play sweep shot but the ball hits the pads. The Umpire gave him leg-before wicket out. Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 13 runs off 8 balls.

In the 5th over, Binura Fernando bowls a slower and around off to Gulbadin Naib who clears mid-on but he lofts it straight to Wanindu Hasaranga at mid-on. Gulbadin Naib scored 4 runs off 8 balls. In the same over, Binura Fernando bowls a good length ball across the batsman to Azmatullah Omarzai who tried to hit the ball away from the body but the ball took the inside edge onto the off-stumps. Azmatullah Omarzai scored 0 runs off 1 ball.

Mohammad Nabi and Karim Janat had a 39-run partnership for the Sixth wicket. In the 10^th over, Dasun Shanaka bowls a good length delivery outside off to Mohammad Nabi. Mohammad Nabi looking to play a big shot swung his bat but the ball took an outside edge it was an easy catch for Kusal Mendis behind the stumps. Mohammad Nabi scored 27 runs off 17 balls.

Karim Janat and Najibullah Zadran had 30 runs partnership for the 7^th wicket. In the 14^th over, Wanindu Hasaranga bowls on the leg stumps to Najibullah Zadran who tried to play a slog sweep shot but missed the ball completely bowls hit the wickets. Najibullah Zadran scored 9 runs off 15 balls. In the same over, Karim Janat was caught by Dasun Shanaka at the covers. Karim Janat scored 28 runs off 23 balls.

In the 17^th over, Matheesha Pathirana bowled out Naveen Ul-Haq who scored 5 runs off 9 balls. In the 17t^h over last ball Fazalhaq Farooqi was caught by Dasun Shanaka. Matheesha Pathirana took his wicket. Sri Lanka won this Match by 72 runs.  Afghanistan all out in score of 115 in 20 overs. Angelo Mathews won the player of the match Award for his all-round performance.
