BAMS Doctor found dead in Crime Branch Campus, Police suspect involvement of Inspector. A woman has died in Ahmedabad Crime Branch office late Wednesday afternoon. When 32 year old BAMS Dr. Vaishali Joshi came to meet PI BK Khachar. A 15 page note was found in the girl’s purse. Information has been received from sources that the girl was having an affair with the PI. It envisages steps that do not match the PI. The girl lived in a PG near Shivranj.

The police have conducted further investigation into the girl’s death. The officer made several efforts to ensure that no one became aware of the entire incident. The woman doctor went to meet the officials several times to lodge her complaint with the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW), but the officials did not respond, that is why she took this drastic step.

There is another theory that Joshi, originally from Dabheri village in Kheda district, had reportedly been trying to contact Khachar for two weeks. Sources in crime branch said she may have been involved in a relationship with the inspector and had issued an ultimatum, threatening to take her own life if the PI did not meet her.

It is suspected that the bored woman committed suicide by injecting herself in her leg while

sitting near the Vasant Rajat Biradari Memorial in the Crime Branch premises.

The mysterious Demise of Dr. Vaishali Joshi, a resident of Debhari near Virpur in Mahisagar district, found in the vicinity of the Crime Branch’s EOW gate in Ahmedabad, has sparked an investigation. The body was discovered by a passer-by around 4:30pm. The Police was immediately alerted and an ambulance was called.

The police sent the woman’s body to VS Hospital for post-mortem. Gaikwad police have registered a case of accident and started investigation. Earlier, when an accused had murdered a police constable in the crime branch, Even then the CCTV footage was not available. This time again it is unsure if the cameras are working or not.


This time, after the mysterious death of the applicant, to save the reputation of the crime branch, the senior officer made many efforts to ensure that no one had information about the entire incident.

While Khachar was unavailable for comment, his superior, DCP Bharti Pandya, could not be reached either. Police inspector R H Bhati stated, “The case is under investigation, and we cannot speculate on anyone’s involvement at this stage”.

Vaishali Joshi is survived by her widowed mother and two elder sisters (one settled in abroad). An adhar card found in her purse helped the police to trace her relatives. Also, a locked phone was recovered and and a faint prick mark near her ankle was observed.


Family members of deceased are in extreme grief as they lost young and independent Vaishali. According to them Vaishali was a cheerful girl and full of life. She loved her profession and was quite dedicated towards it. She never shared any kind of distress with her sisters or mother. Her family members are not aware of her any affair with PI Khachar.

After Post-mortem the body is already handed over to the family for cremation.

Police will file a complaint of abetment to suicide against PI khachar on Thursday,” said Inspector Bhati.

Police has assured the family members of Doctor Joshi to solve the mystery of her death and soon they will definitely take PI khachar under custody for enquiry. Police may give some light of hope soon in this case.
