Big action in Rs 35 crore case in Jharkhand, Minister Alamgir Alam’s PS and his assistant arrested.In Jharkhand, after more than 16 hours of raids on the premises of Minister Alamgir Alam’s PS Sanjeev Lal and his assistant Jahangir Alam, ED has arrested both of them.
ED has recovered an amount of more than Rs 35 crore from them. According to the information, after overnight interrogation, both of them have been arrested under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The ED had conducted the raid on Monday in connection with its investigation in a case related to alleged irregularities in the state rural development department, which allegedly pertains to Sanjeev Lal’s domestic help Jahangir. From here the central agency had recovered cash worth more than Rs 32 crore from the flat whereas in some other premises also, Rs 3 crore in cash was recovered during the searches. It is being told that more than Rs 35 crore has been recovered.
On Monday, when journalists asked Minister Alamgir Alam about this amount, he too did not have any concrete answer. He said that we are also watching the news on TV. ED investigation is going on and I will not be able to comment on it.
Earlier, the Income Tax Department had recovered more than Rs 300 crore in cash in a raid that lasted for several days at the premises of Congress Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand, Dheeraj Sahu. Pictures of the mountain of notes found in this raid went viral across the country. Questions were raised even on the top leadership of Congress regarding this matter, but no reply came from their side. It was surprising that Congress did not take any action against Dheeraj Sahu.
