BJP vs Congress Manifesto, After Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its manifesto ‘BJP’s resolution to guarantee Modi’ on Sunday i.e. 14th April. Earlier, Congress had released its manifesto on April 5. Both the parties have made many promises in their manifestos. Unemployment is a big issue in the Lok Sabha elections. There is a lot of focus on employment in the manifestos of both the parties. While Congress in its manifesto has talked about guaranteed employment, BJP has talked about providing earning opportunities to the youth through skill development.
BJP has released its manifesto for Lok Sabha elections 2024 on Sunday. The party has named it ‘Sankalp Patra’. The party released the manifesto in the presence of many senior party ministers and leaders including PM Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
Earlier, Congress had also released its manifesto in the name of ‘Nyaya Patra’ on 5th April. BJP has made many big promises in its manifesto including continuing the old schemes, expanding their scope, making a developed India by 2047. At the same time, Congress has made many big promises in its ‘Nyay Patra’ keeping youth, women and farmers at the center along with social justice. Know what are the special things comparatively in the manifestos of both BJP and Congress.

Congress Nyaya Patra
- Guarantee of first job: Promised to replace the Apprenticeship Act 1961 with the Apprenticeship Rights Act.
- Announcement to provide one year apprenticeship program to diploma holders or graduate students below 25 years of age.
- Formation of fast track courts to deal with paper leaks. Promise of financial compensation to the victims.
- Filling up of 30 lakh sanctioned posts in the Central Government. Emphasis on filling vacant posts in Panchayat and municipal bodies with consent.
- Focus on startup. The Fund of Funds scheme will be restructured. Fund allocation equally across all districts of the country.
- Promise to provide relief to applicants unable to appear for government exams from April 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021.
- Promise to abolish application fees for government posts and examinations 15 March 2014.
- Promise to give scholarship of Rs 10,000 every month to talented and emerging players below 21 years of age.
- Congress promised in the Nyay Patra that it will increase the reservation quota by eliminating the reservation limit.
- Women will be given up to 50 percent reservation in government jobs and poor girls will be given financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh annually.
- Promise of 30 lakh government jobs. It was also announced that the government will provide the first job to the youth after graduation.
- According to the Congress letter, the minimum wage will be increased to Rs 400 per day.
- Congress has promised in its Nyaya letter that if it comes to power, MSP law will be made for farmers.
- Promise to conduct caste census and fill the vacant posts of SC, ST and OBC categories in one year.
- Promise of free health insurance of Rs 25 lakh.
- A network of residential schools will be set up for SC, ST students and it will be expanded at the block level.
- Congress has promised 10 ‘nyays’. These include equity justice, youth justice, women’s justice, farmers’ justice, labor justice, constitutional justice, economic justice, state justice, defense justice, environmental justice.
BJP’s resolution letter (Sankalap Patra)
- Promise to strictly enforce the law to stop paper leaks.
- Announcement to make government recruitment transparent and time bound.
- Startup expanding into tier-2 and tier-3 cities. Promise to make the country a global center of tourism hub and services.
- Focus on skill development of youth. Promise to develop integrated education system under NEP. Promise to provide quality education, world class sports facilities, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to the youth.
- BJP has promised to continuously work towards making the country a global manufacturing hub and increasing employment in this sector.
- Focus on increasing employment by investing in infrastructure.
- Promise to provide financial assistance to the youth through schemes like Mudra. So that they can start their own enterprise.
- Promise to set up Global Capability Center (GCC), Global Tech Center (GTC) and Global Engineering Center (GEC). So that the country can become a hub of high-value services.
- BJP has talked about providing employment opportunities in the tourism sector in its manifesto. Promise to expand programs to promote tourism and employment opportunities.
- The system of free electricity and free ration will continue for 5 years.

- According to BJP’s resolution letter released today, 3 crore new houses will be built under the housing scheme.
- According to BJP’s resolution letter, the limit of Mudra Yojana will be increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh.
- Promise to implement Uniform Civil Code. Will take steps towards implementing One Nation, One Election. Strict action will continue against the corrupt.
- All elderly people above 70 years of age will be included in the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Besides, ‘Transgender’ category will also be included in the scheme.
- According to the Sankalp Patra, BJP will give priority to disabled people in PM Awas Yojana.
- Guaranteed to make 3 crore lakhpati didi.
- Major schemes like Ujjwala Yojana, Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Jan Aushadhi Kendra will continue.
- More than 700 Eklavya schools will be built. Apart from Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train, bullet trains will be run in all four directions including North, South and Eastern India. Work will be done towards providing cheap pipeline gas to homes.
