Congress workers protest against Kanhaiya Kumar’s nomination

Congress workers protest against Kanhaiya Kumar, Kanhaiya Kumar’s first election program is to be held today after being made the Lok Sabha candidate from Congress under INDIA block from North East Delhi.

Even before this, discord within the party has come to light. Now information has come to light that local workers have protested against the nomination of Kanhaiya Kumar near Maujpur Metro Station in Delhi. Activists say that there is a need to make a local leader a candidate; no outsider should be made a candidate.

Today itself, Delhi Pradesh Congress President Arvinder Singh Lovely has resigned from his post and has cited Kanhaiya Kumar’s candidature as a reason behind this. According to Congress sources, Deepak Babaria is talking to the party high command. He will consult Malikarjun Kharge on party line on the crisis in DPCC.

The poster at Kanhaiya’s election office has only the pictures of Rahul Gandhi and Kejriwal. Apart from this, photographs of any leader were not visible. There is discord in the party regarding this matter also. Before leaving the Navi programmes, Kanhaiya Kumar had also contacted many leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party along with the alliance in Delhi. Congress workers participated in the road show of Aam Aadmi Party in Trilokpuri and supported it. Aam Aadmi Party workers came to support the program of Congress candidate Kanhaiya Kumar.

There was already pressure on Arvinder Singh Lovely to remove many leaders by taking disciplinary action but the last reason became the poster of Kanhaiya Kumar’s office inauguration. Kanhaiya Kumar is the Congress candidate from North East Delhi and the inauguration of his office was scheduled on Sunday. But many senior Congress leaders were not seen on Kanhaiya’s poster, due to which there is a lot of anger among the leaders within the party.
