Controversial speech of Rahul Gandhi removed in Lok Sabha, There was a lot of uproar during the speech of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on the sixth day of the Parliament session on Monday. During his two and a half hour speech, Rahul said many controversial things which displeased the ruling party, especially the BJP. Now these controversial parts from Rahul’s speech have been removed from the proceedings of the House. Speaker Om Birla himself has given instructions for this. Baikunth Nath Mahapatra, Joint Director of the Press and Public Relations Branch of the Lok Sabha Secretariat, issued a letter and informed about this. During Rahul’s speech, PM Modi himself had to get up from his seat twice and respond.

NDA leaders also objected to Rahul’s speech which lasted for about two and a half hours. Speaker Om Birla himself had urged him to speak carefully. Some parts of the speech, including his statement about Hindus, have now been removed from the proceedings of the House. Joint Director of Public Relations Branch Baikunthnath Mahapatra (Lok Sabha Secretariat) wrote in his letter that these disputed parts have been cancelled/non-recorded on behalf of Honorable Sir/Madam Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi gave his first speech as Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha on Monday, July 1. He started his speech by showing a copy of the Constitution. Then by showing the picture of Lord Shiva, Rahul Gandhi said that truth, non-violence and courage are our weapons. Shiva’s trident is a symbol of non-violence.

Om Birla interrupted Rahul on this. Said this is against the rules. Rahul said, ‘Through this I want to tell that one gets the power to never be afraid of Lord Shiva.’ He did not stop here.

Apart from Guru Nanak and Jesus, he also showed posters of all religions. Then mentioned Abhaya Mudra.

Rahul said, those who call themselves Hindus, 24 hours violence-violence-violence, hatred-hate-hate… you are not a Hindu at all. On this PM Modi said that ‘It is a serious thing to call the entire Hindu society violent. Amit Shah also objected.

Amit Shah and other BJP Leaders demands apology over comment on Hindus

BJP leaders who objected to some lines of Rahul Gandhi’s controversial speech have demanded an apology from him. Many MPs from the ruling party, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Ashwini Vaishnav and NDA leader Chirag Paswan, asked Rahul to apologize. During Rahul’s speech, many times Rajnath Singh, PM Modi, Kiren Rijiju were seen getting up from their seats and objecting to Rahul’s words.

Why did Rahul mention Shivji and Abhaya Mudra?

Rahul Gandhi said in the Lok Sabha that the picture of Lord Shiva is prohibited in this House. If I am saying that I got protection from them, but you are stopping me. After this I have more pictures, I wanted to show them all. The whole of India knows and understands this picture. Why I brought this picture, because this picture has an idea to defend. There is a snake around Shivaji’s neck; the purpose behind this is that one should not be afraid of anyone. After this Rahul showed the picture of Guru Nanak, there was noise again.

What is ABHAY MUDRA?

Abhaya Mudra is a posture of yoga. In this, the eyes are closed by sitting cross legged. Abhaya Mudra calms the senses. This is a posture that represents freedom from fear and a feeling of security. This is seen in the sculptures of all religions of India.

In the universe, Lord Shiva is considered to be Adiyogi, who remains absorbed in yoga meditation in Abhaya Mudra. This is a sign of his assurance and blessings to the devotees that they should fulfill their responsibilities and not be troubled by any external fear.

In ancient times, this currency was used in many symbolic ways. In many places it was used as a greeting. Apart from this, when someone went to make a compromise or friendship with the enemy, he used to show Abhaya Mudra only.
