Elvish Yadav Snake Venom case: Two more accused arrested in Elvish Yadav case, both are residents of Haryana

Elvish Yadav Snake Venom case, Noida Police has arrested two more accused named Ishwar and Vinay in the case of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav. After the arrest of Elvish Yadav, the police investigation has intensified. Both Ishwar and Vinay are residents of Haryana. Noida Police had arrested Elvish Yadav 2 days ago. The interrogation of Elvish Yadav is going on in the snake poison case.

A Noida Police official said that Elvish Yadav was booked along with five other people for providing snake venom for entertainment at parties in Delhi-NCR. An animal welfare activist had filed a complaint in this regard. The police arrested Elvish Yadav after several days of investigation. His accomplices, two other accused Ishwar and Vinay, have been arrested and are being interrogated.

Additional DCP Shakti Mohan Awasthi said, “In the same case in which Elvish Yadav was arrested a few days ago, two other people have been arrested this morning. Their names are Ishwar and Vinay. Ishwar used to talk to Rahul Sapera continuously. And he has his own banquet hall where he used to call snakes and prepare snake poison. Vinay is a special friend of Ishwar Yadav. Ishwar and Vinay used to help in exchanging wishes. Both are being sent to judicial custody. For others “Legal action is in progress.”

On November 8, 2023, Noida Police had registered an FIR against several people in connection with the use of snake venom in a rave party. The name of Elvish Yadav was also included in this. Police had also arrested five people in this case. When the police interrogated him, the name of Elvish Yadav came up. After this, after several days of long investigation, the police arrested him and sent him to jail for 14 days judicial custody.


During police interrogation, the accused had told that snakes were brought from Badarpur for the parties of Elvish Yadav. One of the accused, Rahul, told the police that he used to arrange snakes and poison as per the demand. Accordingly, trainers and other things were provided to the snake charmer. All this was brought from the village of Badarpur which is considered the stronghold of snake charmers. During interrogation, the police came to light about many rave parties in which the venom of these snakes was used.

Elvish Yadav Snake venom case: How many years of imprisonment can be given under the sections under which the case has been registered against Elvish Yadav?

Now on the basis of sufficient evidence, Noida Sector 49 police has registered a case against Elvish Yadav. At present the Sector 20 police is investigating this case. According to the information, a case has been registered against Elvish Yadav under sections 284, 289, 120B of IPC and sections 9, 39, 48, 49, 50, 51 of Wild Life Protection Act-1972. Apart from this, after investigation of snake venom recovered from the accused, sections of NDPS Act have been increased in this case.

NDPS Act i.e. Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act is used against someone when the case is related to any kind of deadly banned drugs. Snake venom is also used as drugs. This is the reason why a case has also been registered in this matter under the NDPS Act. If the charges under this Act are proved then the accused can be sentenced to 10 to 20 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 to 2 lakh can also be imposed on him.

Under the sections of the Wild Life Protection Act under which the case has been registered against Elvish, the punishment can be three to seven years. Whereas, if someone is found guilty under sections 284 and 289 of the IPC, he may be jailed for 6 months and may also be fined Rs 1,000. If the charges against you are proved under Section 120B of the IPC, you can be sentenced to life imprisonment or rigorous imprisonment for 2 years or more.
