Fifth accused of firing at Salman’s house arrested from Rajasthan

Fifth accused of firing at Salman’s house arrested from Rajasthan, Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested the fifth accused who helped the others accused in Reiki. Now he will be presented in Mumbai court.

The name of the arrested accused is Mohammad Chaudhary. It is alleged that along with providing money to two shooters Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta, he had helped in conducting Reiki. Chaudhary is being taken to Mumbai today, where he will be produced in the court and a demand for custody will be made.

Firing took place on April 14 outside Galaxy Apartment, Salman Khan’s home. After this the accused fled from the spot on a motorcycle. The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police is investigating this matter. Police arrested two persons – Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta – who carried out the firing from Kutch in Gujarat. After this, two more accused – Anuj Thapan and Sonu Kumar Chander Bishnoi were arrested from Punjab. Accused Anuj Thapan committed suicide in police custody.


The arrest of Anuj Thapan on April 26 was a significant breakthrough in the investigation. This put a spotlight on the network responsible for providing weapons to the perpetrators of the attack. The accused fled after the firing incident that took place outside the actor’s house in Bandra, Mumbai on April 14.

In this case, jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his younger brother Anmol Bishnoi have been kept in the wanted list. Considering the seriousness of the case, Mumbai Police had invoked Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) against all the accused involved in the firing incident.
