Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Manohar Joshi was admitted to PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai after suffering a heart attack. He was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) there.

Former Maharashtra CM Manohar Joshi passes away, breathed his last at PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. The news of his death came on Friday morning. Manohar Joshi’s cremation will take place in the cremation ground located at Shivji Park.

Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Manohar Joshi has passed away. He was 86 years old. He was admitted to the hospital a day earlier after suffering a heart attack. He was undergoing treatment at PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. According to the information given by the hospital, he was kept in ICU and his condition was critical. He breathed his last in the early morning. Manohar Joshi’s son Umesh told that Joshi’s cremation will be held at Shivaji Park crematorium. Before that, his mortal remains will be kept at his home in Matunga for the last darshan.

The hospital had said in a statement that former Lok Sabha Speaker Joshi was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday and his condition was critical. 86-year-old Joshi, one of the veteran leaders of Shiv Sena, was admitted to this hospital in May last year after suffering a brain attack.

86-year-old Manohar Joshi, one of the veteran leaders of Shiv Sena, was admitted to this hospital after suffering a brain attack in May last year. Joshi was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1995 to 1999 and was the first leader from the undivided Shiv Sena to become the Chief Minister of the state. He has also been an MP and held the post of Speaker of the Lok Sabha in the Vajpayee government at the Center from 2002 to 2004. In his early days, he was associated with RSS and then started his political career with Shiv Sena.

Former Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi was one of the closest associates of Shiv Sena founder late Balasaheb Thackeray. He was considered a very trusted and close associate of Balasaheb, so when he was admitted to the hospital last year, Uddhav Thackeray, along with his wife Rashmi and other family members, went to the hospital to inquire about his well being.

Joshi was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1995 to 1999 and was the first leader from the undivided Shiv Sena to become the Chief Minister of the state. He has also been an MP and held the post of Speaker of the Lok Sabha in the Vajpayee government at the Center from 2002 to 2004.
