With the aim of raising the issue of Punjab at the national level, former actor Sandeep Singh alias Deep Sidhu had formed an organization, which was named Waris Punjab. After the death of Deep Sidhu in September 2022, the responsibility of this organization went to Khalistani supporter Amritpal Singh.
After completing his schooling, like other youth of Punjab, Amritpal Singh also went to Arab countries in search of employment. During this time he did not meet many people, but during this time he met some people who encouraged him to read Gurbani.

After returning from abroad, he assumed the form of a Sikh and after absorbing the nectar he became a lion. After this he started roaming in different parts of Punjab. He made the youth aware of the bad aspects of drug addiction.
After this he organized the youth and decided to take out Khalsa Waheer in entire Punjab. After which the Punjab government saw disruption in law and order due to such activities. Amritpal Singh and his associates were accused of attacking Ajnala police station, after which an operation was conducted to arrest them. The government shut down the internet in the state.
