Girl attacked with sword after gangrape, 31 stitches on head, face and hands. A girl was raped and an attempt was made to kill her in Danpur police station area of ​​Banswara district of Rajasthan. The accused has been arrested by the police. The incident is being said to have taken place around 2:00 am on 6th May 2024. The victim had gone to a wedding ceremony with her family members and was returning home at night. During that time, the victim was left alone behind with her family.

Actually, two boys on a motorcycle came near a culvert at night, about 400 meters from the victim’s house. Among them were two youths named Kalu and Jeetu. During this time the young man talked about marrying the victim. When the victim refused, both of them caught hold of her and raped her. And Kalu attacked him on the head with the sword. When she brought both her hands near her head for protection, the victim’s palm got injured. Two fingers and the thumb of her right hand were cut off.

A case was registered in Kanpur police station regarding this matter. On which the police registered a case under sections 341,307, 374 D and 34 and after investigation, the police arrested the accused. Police formed a team and arrested Kaluram, aged 23 years, resident of Kanpuri Khajuri.


Prima facie it seems to be a case of love affair. The accused is studying in BSTC second year while the victim is studying in first year. The victim and accused Kaluram knew each other for more than 5-6 years and wanted to marry each other but the victim’s family members were refusing to marry, due to which the accused carried out the incident. The accused first reached the victim’s village and called the victim to meet him and is said to have forcibly raped her and attacked the victim with a sword with the intention of murdering her.
