GOAT is said to be Vijay’s penultimate film as the star has previously hinted that he will move to politics after finishing his next film, Thalapathy 69, which is being made by director H Vinoth. It is yet to be seen if the excitement for Vijay’s second last film will actually translate into box office numbers. Vijay had two releases in 2023 – Leo and Varisu. While Leo was one of the biggest grossers of the year, Varisu did not have the same luck. The film clashed against Ajith’s Thunivu and made Rs 26.5 crore on opening day.
This film Produced on a massive budget of Rs 400 crore, which includes Rs 200 crore for Vijay’s salary, GOAT features music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni and editing by Venkat Raajen.
