Honey trap angle in the murder of Bangladeshi MP, A shocking revelation has come to light in the murder case of Bangladesh MP Anwarul Azim Anar. Preliminary police investigation has revealed that one of the MP’s friends got him murdered. He had given a contract of about five crore rupees for the murder of Anwarul Azim Anar. Police said the flat in Kolkata’s New Town area, where the Bangladesh MP was last seen entering, was rented out by its owner to his friend. The owner of this flat is an employee of the Excise Department.
A cab driver was taken into custody in this case on Thursday. In this case, CID has also arrested a person named Jihad Havildar. He is a professional butcher. He was called from Mumbai to Kolkata on a special basis to dismember the body of the MP. Search is on for the woman who had honey-trapped Anwarul and invited him to India.

Azim, a three-time MP in Bangladesh, was missing for eight days. He had come to Kolkata on May 12 for treatment and stayed at the house of his friend Gopal Biswas in Baranagar in the city. But, on May 14, he went out telling Biswas that he would return the same day, but he did not return.
CID officials investigating the case received information that on May 14, the Bangladeshi MP reached the posh residential complex of New Town from Baranagar in a cab. During the investigation, the body of the Bangladeshi MP was found in a rented house in New Town area on Wednesday.
A woman was lured into a flat in New Town and then murdered by hired killers. The detained man had met one of the main accused in the murder case. He said the man is a resident of an area in West Bengal near the international border with Bangladesh. Without revealing the identity of the detained person, he said further investigation was being conducted to find out why the person had met the MP and what they had discussed.
A senior police officer said that preliminary investigation revealed that one of his friends had given a contract of around Rs 5 crore for his (MP’s) murder. The official said the Awami League MP’s friend owns a flat in Kolkata and is probably currently in the US. Investigations indicated that the Bangladeshi MP had fallen into a ‘honey trap’ laid by a woman who was also close to the MP’s friend.
