In Gurugram, a 24-year-old Nepalese man killed his wife and cited illness as the cause of her death, but the post-mortem report revealed death by strangulation. He was then arrested. This information has been given by Gurugram Police. Police said they received information about the incident from the hospital, where the woman named Shanti was brought by her husband, Tapras Joshi, a native of Nepal’s Dodi district, on Sunday night.
A 24-year-old Nepali man murdered his wife in Gurugram, a police officer privy to the case said, adding that he was brought to the hospital in an unconscious state. There were strangulation and nail marks on the body. According to the police, the couple had come to Gurugram only 15 days ago. He lived in a PG located in Saraswati Kunj, Sector-53. The accused told the police that there was an argument between him and his wife over some issue on Sunday night. During that time his wife kicked him in the stomach.

The accused further told that at that time he got angry and strangulated her with dupatta. After this he took the woman’s body to the hospital and told the doctors that she died due to illness. After this the hospital authority informed the Sector-53 police station. The police team reached the hospital, took custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Giving information, Inspector Rajendra, SHO of Sector-53 police station, said that the medical examination of the body conducted on Monday has confirmed that the woman died due to strangulation. We have immediately arrested the accused husband. He confessed to murdering his wife. On the basis of the complaint given by the family of the deceased woman, a case of murder has been registered against the accused in Sector-53 police station.
She was brought to the hospital in an unresponsive and unconscious state. The body had signs of strangulation and nail marks,” a police officer privy to the matter said.
According to the police the couple had come to Gurugram only 15 days ago. They were residing and used to work in a PG located in Saraswati Kunj of Sector-53.
The residents did not give any complaint to the police due to which the police took action in the case under Section 174 of CrPC. Now after the revelation in the post mortem report, the police registered a case under IPC 302 and arrested the accused husband.
