Rohit Sharma scored 14 runs off 41 balls. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill had a partnership of 48 runs. In the 29th over, Shubman Gill was caught behind by wicketkeeper Ben Foakes. He scored 34 runs off 46 balls His wicket was taken by James Anderson.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer Had 90 runs Partnership for the third wicket. In the 51st over, Tom Hartley bowls back length delivery on offside, and Shreyas Iyer makes room to cut the ball but the ball remains low and takes the edge of the bat. Ben Foakes took a catch. Shreyas Iyer scored 27 runs off 59 balls. Rajat Patidar and Yashasvi Jaiswal Had a 70-run partnership for the fourth wicket. In the 72nd over, Rehan Ahmed Bowled out Rajat Patidar Who scored 32 runs off 72 balls.

Axar Patel and Yashasvi Jaiswal Built a 52-run partnership for the fifth wicket. In the 86th over, Shoaib Bashir Bowls in outside the line of the off stumps, Axar Patel cuts the ball hard but he fails to keep his shot in along the ground the ball went straight into the hands of Rehan Ahmed who standing at the backward point. Axar Patel scored 27 runs off 51 balls.

Srikar Bharat and Yashasvi Jaiswal built a small partnership of 29 runs for the sixth wicket. In the 91st over, Rehan Ahmed bowled a Short delivery on off stumps, Srikar Bharat tried to play the cut shot but the ball went straight into the hands of Shoaib Bashir. Srikar Bharat scored 17 runs off 23 balls. Yashasvi Jaiswal is on the crease he scored 179 runs off 257 balls and Ashwin scored not out 5 runs off 10 balls. At the end of the day-1, India scored 336/6 in 93 overs.
