India won the toss and elected to bat first. Captain Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal came to open for Team India and James Anderson had a first over. Indian openers had a partnership of 41 runs. Axar Patel and Yashasvi Jaiswal Built a 52-run partnership for the fifth wicket. In the 86th over, Shoaib Bashir Bowls in outside the line of the off stumps, Axar Patel cuts the ball hard but he fails to keep his shot in along the ground the ball went straight into the hands of Rehan Ahmed who standing at the backward point. Axar Patel scored 27 runs off 51 balls.

Srikar Bharat and Yashasvi Jaiswal built a small partnership of 29 runs for the sixth wicket. In the 91st over, Rehan Ahmed bowled a Short delivery on off stumps, Srikar Bharat tried to play the cut shot but the ball went straight into the hands of Shoaib Bashir.
