Iran’s President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Amir died in Helicopter Crash

Iran’s President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Amir died, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian have died in a helicopter crash. The sad incident on Sunday i.e. 19th May. According to Iran’s state media, there were no signs of survival in the helicopter that crashed.


The weather at the place where this accident took place is very bad. Because of this, rescue teams had to face difficulties in reaching the spot. Turkey had sent its drones to locate the helicopter of President Ibrahim Raisi. Turkish news agency Anadolu had shared pictures of the source of heat being detected at one place.

According to news agency Reuters, an Iranian official said that the helicopter was completely burnt in the crash. This information received by Turkey was shared with Iran. Anadolu also released a video recorded by the drone at night. President Raisi had gone to Azerbaijan to inaugurate the Qiz Kalasi and Khodafarin dams. After this inauguration he was going towards Tabriz city.

Tabriz is the capital of East Azerbaijan province of Iran. During this time, the helicopter met with an accident at some place on the way. The area where the helicopter made a hard landing is near Varzeqan city, 50 kilometers from Tabriz city. US Senator Chuck Schumer has said that conversations with officials of American intelligence agencies show that there is currently no evidence on the basis of which a conspiracy can be said. Schumer said he is monitoring the situation.

In a press conference he said- The weather was very bad in North-West Iran where this helicopter crashed. In such a situation, it seems to be an accident, but it is yet to be fully investigated. Some Iranians are raising questions on social media as to how it was possible that two helicopters of the convoy reached safely and Raisi’s helicopter crashed.
