Kalki 2898 AD Trailer released today at 7:15 PM, The trailer of Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD has reminded netizens of the acclaimed Hollywood “Dune”. In this trailer they show that Kashi is the first and last city remaining on Earth. The Saviour of this world is unborn and he is in the womb of Padma( Deepika Padukone). Amitabh Bachan played the role of Ashwathama and Prabhas in the role of Bhairava.
‘Kalki AD 2898‘ is one of the most anticipated films of the year and the film was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi and it will be released in theatres in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and English. The movie is set to release in theatres on June 27 worldwide.

As the title suggests, the film inspired by the Hindu scriptures is shot in a post-apocalyptic world starting from the end of the Mahabharata era to 2898 AD. The movie is the first instalment of the planned Kalki Cinematic Universe.
The film is set with a backdrop of Indian mythology in the in the city of Kasi, Varanasi and depics the beginning of Kali yuga and the core of the film revolves around the tenth avatar ‘Kalki’ of lord Vishnu.
