Kejriwal got interim bail on these six conditions after 50 days

Kejriwal got interim bail on these six conditions after 50 days. The Supreme Court granted interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal till June 1. Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 after nine summons from the Enforcement Directorate. He got relief after about 50 days. While giving them this relief, the Supreme Court has imposed some conditions, which they will have to follow.

  1. Arvind Kejriwal will have to surrender and return to jail on June 2.
  2. He will have to pay a bond of Rs 50 thousand.
  3. Kejriwal will not be able to comment on his role in the money laundering case related to the excise policy scam.
  4. He will have to follow his statement that he will not sign any official file unless the matter is as urgent as getting approval from the Lieutenant Governor.
  5. Kejriwal will not go to the Chief Minister’s Office and Delhi Secretariat.
  6. They will not be able to talk to any witnesses and relate to the case.

Another important hearing took place today in the Delhi liquor scam. In the bail case of Kavita, the High Court has issued a notice to the ED and sought its reply within two weeks.

At the same time, ED not only opposed the interim bail but also filed a supplementary charge sheet and had prepared a complete plan to corner Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party. ED was calling Kejriwal the main character of the liquor scam.

  1. Kavita’s bail plea in the controversial excise policy of Delhi and the money laundering case related to it has been rejected by the lower special court. Kavita gave the same order in the High Court and Justice Swarnakanta Sharma, accepting the arguments of ED, refused to grant bail to Kavita. Now Kavita will challenge the High Court order in the Supreme Court.
