Even before the announcement of election dates, many parties have announced their candidates. The ruling BJP has recently announced its candidates for 195 seats. Voting was held in 7 phases in 2019

In 2019, elections were held in seven phases between April 11 and May 19 and the counting of votes took place on May 23. In 2019, the names of 90 crore voters were included in the voter list, whereas in the 2014 general elections there were 81 crore 45 lakh voters. At the same time, more than 96.8 crore citizens will vote in the Lok Sabha elections to be held this year.
