London Mass stabbing: Man attacked public with sword, many policemen also injured

London Mass stabbing, serval people including two police officers, were seriously injured in a suspected knife attack in London on Tuesday. The incident occurred near Hainault station this morning local time. According to the latest reports, the accused has been arrested. Visuals that have surfaced on the internet include painful scenes of the accused brandishing a knife and roaming around the campus. Police and emergency vehicles can be seen deployed at the scene.

Interestingly, this stabbing incident took place on the 25th anniversary of the 1999 bomb blast in a gay bar in London’s West End. The Metropolitan Police shared a statement informing about the stabbing incident. The statement read: “Police and other emergency services are at a serious incident in Hainault, east London, where a man with a sword has been arrested. We have received reports of a collision with a vehicle shortly before 07:00.

There were reports that people had been stabbed at a home in the Thurlow Gardens area.” Additionally, giving information about the injuries and the arrest of the accused at the scene, the statement said, “At this time we understand that the suspect other members of the public and two police officers were attacked. We are awaiting updates on the condition of the injured. A 36-year-old man was arrested at the scene and remains in custody.


Emergency services including fire and rescue teams and several ambulances rushed to the scene. Information about how many people have been injured in this accident has not been revealed, but officials have confirmed that they are not looking for any additional suspects.

“This must have been a horrific incident for those concerned,” Deputy Assistant Commissioner Ade Adelakan said in his statement on the horrific incident. I know the wider community will be feeling shock and concern. People will want to know what has happened and we will provide more information as soon as possible.” He added: “We do not believe there is any threat to the wider community. We are not looking for any more suspects. “This incident does not appear to be terror related.”
