At that time, it was being told that Jagdish had received a notice from the District Panchayat for operating the Mentha tank.

Jagdish had also expressed his displeasure with the village head on the notice. It is believed that the former chief has been murdered due to this enmity. Murder took place in Rasulpur Gausar 35 years ago

When the sound of fire was heard on Friday morning in Majhra Rasoolpur Gausar of Mudiya Jain Gram Panchayat of the area, people got scared fearing something untoward. Within some time, there was an uproar in the village when former head Chaudhary Rajveer Singh was shot dead. A crowd of villagers gathered at the incident site.

On receiving the information, Mainather police arrived and took the body into custody. When asked, the elders told that there is always peace in their village Rasoolpur Gausar, but they cannot understand the murder of the former head. 35 years ago, a farmer was murdered in a similar manner in broad daylight in Rasulpur Gausar.

The former Pradhan had a mild nature and good manners, he always behaved well with people, even the murderer Jagdish used to sit near the former Pradhan and have tea.The path to Jagdish’s fields goes in front of Rajveer Singh’s house.

The former Pradhan’s wife had died due to illness 15 years ago while the family consisted of a son Somveer Singh and daughter-in-law Urmila Devi. Daughter is married. His son Somveer is working as SSO in Mainather power plant.

Rajveer Singh was elected village head in the year 2000

Gram Panchayat Mudiya Jain includes five villages Majhra Rasoolpur Gausar, Hayatpur, Milak and Madhaiya. In the Panchayat elections held in the year 2000, Chaudhary Rajveer Singh, resident of Rasulpur Gausar, was elected the village head of Mudiya Jain Gram Panchayat of Kundarki block area and he remained the head till 2005.

While being the village head, Rajveer Singh had done a lot of development work through his efforts in villages Mudiya Jain, Rasulpur Gausar, Hayatpur, Madhaiya and Milak. Besides, Rajveer Singh has also been the delegate of Sugarcane Committee Bilari. Rajveer Singh actively participated in the farmer movements of BKU.

The last rites of the dead body took place in the presence of police

After the post-mortem on Friday evening, when the body of former head Chaudhary Rajveer Singh from Moradabad reached his house in village Rasulpur Gausar, people started flocking. After an hour, the body of the former head was taken to the village cremation ground and cremated. Hundreds of people participated during this period. During this time Mainather police was also present.
