Paris Olympics 2024: India defeated Spain 2-1 to win the bronze medal in hockey

Paris Olympics 2024, Indian Hockey team repeats its performance in Olympics last they won medal in Tokyo Olympics now they defeated Spain 2-1 to Win Bronze medal in Paris Olympics. A goal from Spain skipper Marc Miralles opened the scoring, following which Indian skipper Harmanpreet Singh provided two goals of his own later on to power India to yet another bronze medal.


With their triumph, India’s medal tally in the Paris Olympics goes up to 4, with all 4 being bronzes so far. In his final international outing, veteran PR Sreejesh made a stunning save in the final quarter to seal India’s 2-1 win over Spain.

After a narrow 3-2 loss to Germany in the semifinals, Team India’s focus had shifted to securing a second consecutive bronze medal following their podium finish at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The team, led by Harmanpreet Singh, rebounded quickly from the disappointment of missing out on the gold medal match by winning the bronze medal at the Paris Games.
