PM Modi in UAE: Burj Khalifa lit up “Guest of Honour”- Republic of India

PM Modi in UAE ,PM Modi is on a two day visit to Dubai where he was welcomed by Burj Khalifa as it lit up “Guest of Honour”- Republic of India. Yesterday he attended “Ahlan Modi event” at Zayed Sports Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

At “Ahlan Modi” event PM Modi said that the world is looking at India as “Vishwa Bandhu”. He also added that he has come to meet his family members in the Gulf country. He also added that he has brought the message of 140 crore brothers and sisters of the country where they (the Indian diaspora) were born and the message is that India is proud of them, they are the pride of Bharat.

The Indian prime minister further said, “It is my pleasure that the UAE honoured me with the ‘Order of Zayed’, its highest civilian award. This honour is not just mine, but crores of Indians. Whenever I meet Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, he praises you all Indians. He appreciates your role in the development of the UAE.”

In addition to this, the Prime Minister also interacted with the first batch of students from the IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi Campus and appreciated the project for bringing the students of two countries together. He also addressed the Indian diaspora in the ‘Ahlan Modi’ event at Zayed Sports Stadium in Abu Dhabi.


External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra were also present in the meeting.

Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum extended a warm welcome to PM Modi. He also noted that the strong ties between the two nations serve as a model for international cooperation.

PM Modi is going to attend world Government summit 2024 as “Guest of Honour” which will be held in Duabi and deliver a special keynote address.

The strong ties between our nations serve as a model for international cooperation. PM Modi in UAE to inaugurate BAPS Temple-Burj Khalifa lit up “Guest of Honour”

PM Modi is going to inaugurate BAPS temple in Abudhabi today.  This is the first Hindu SwamiNarayan temple of the city.  The temple is situated in the Abu Mureikhah area, the temple is built at an estimated cost of Rs 700 crore. The pink Rajasthan sandstone and white Italian marble stone were carved in India and later assembled in the UAE. Its foundation was laid in 2019.

The temple has been built by the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), a denomination of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya, a Vaishnav sect of Hinduism. The temple will open to the public on March 1. PM Modi on Tuesday received a Guard of Honour upon his arrival in the UAE for a brief two-day visit. This is PM’s seventh visit to the UAE and his second visit to Qatar since 2014. The Prime Minister’s visit to the Gulf nation focuses on boosting cooperation in various sectors, including energy, ports, fintech, digital infrastructure, railways, and investment flows.
