Police Caught 3 Thieves of the ATM Machine, on 8th January, a gang of thieves uprooted the ATM Machine and took it away in the car in the area under Kargoli Police station, Agra Uttar Pradesh. The surveillance team and Kargoli station Police combined to investigate this case.

In this Investigation, the Police team found out that 7 men were involved in this loot. These thieves used stolen car to transport ATM machines. Thieves used Google Maps to avoid tolls so the camera couldn’t capture their photographs. Thieves came from the Tikri Route in Bolero Car after the loot of an ATM Machine they used a root of Tikri to Neem Ka Thana Rajasthan to escape.

On the 14th of February, the Kargoli Police and Surveillance team caught 3 thieves involved in this loot. During the investigation, police found out this thief’s gang belonged to Rajasthan. They have done many loots in Rajasthan and one month ago they did the same in Churu and they were also involved in the robbery at District Nagore 11 to 12 months before.

Police still investigating their crime history. During this loot, they Distributed money in Neem Ka Thana and they trashed the ATM machine in Sikroda Nagar. Santosh Saini, Naresh Goyal, Dinesh Goyal, and Vishnu Kumar Saini are the culprits whom the Police had taken to Jail. In this Investigation Police Recovered 3.67 lacks, one bolero car, and three Mobile Phones.

 

Under which Section do thieves get punished in India?

In the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (XLV of 1860), after section 379, the following sections shall be inserted, namely:—

379A. Snatching.–(1) Whoever, with the intention to commit theft, suddenly or quickly or forcibly seizes or secures or grabs or takes away from any person or from his physical possession any moveable property, and makes or attempt to make escape with such property, is said to commit snatching.

(2)Whoever attempts to commit snatching shall be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than five years but which may extend to ten years, and with fine which may extend to twenty-five thousand rupees.

(3)Whoever commits snatching shall be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than seven years but which may extend to ten years, and with fine which may extend to twenty-five thousand rupees.

(4) Whoever, after committing or attempting to commit snatching, causes hurt or wrongful restraint of fear of hurt, in order to effect his escape shall be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, in addition to the punishment provided for the offence of snatching by the preceding sub-sections.
