Qatar beat China 1-0 in the AFC Asia Cup at Khalifa International Stadium. The host made so many changes in their starting eleven Chinese team did not take any advantage of it they suffered a heart-breaking loss they almost eliminated from the AFC Asia Cup. Qatar Had a Perfect record in the group stage they won 3 out of 3 and stood at the top of the group whereas China Had 2 points in 3 games standing at the number third position in the group table.

Qatar coach Tintín Márquez started with Saad Al Sheeb first-choice goalkeeper for the team. Almahdi Ali Mukhtar and Boualem Khoukhi play in Centre center-back position. Bassam Al Rawi plays as a right side-back and Sultan Al-Brake plays as a left side-back. Abdulaziz Hatem, Moustafa Tarek Mashal, and Ali Asad are playing in the mid-field. Khalid Muneer A A Mazeed plays as the left-side midfielder and Yousuf Abdurisag plays as the Right Side Midfielder. Ahmed Alaaeldin is playing in a center-forward position. Qatar coach Tintín Márquez selected a 4-5-1 formation in this match.

CHINESE Team coach Aleksandar Janković started with Yan Junling in the goal. Tyias Browning, Zhu Chenjie, and Zhang Linpeng were playing in defense as center-back. First Half

Qatar coach Tintín Márquez chose to rest plenty of players in this match. They already qualified for the next round of the AFC Asia Cup. China came in the ground looking to win this match for their qualification for the next round of the AFC Asia Cup. The first chance came in the 7th Minute when Lin Liangming placed a ball for Zhang Yuning who cut back for Wei Shihao who took a shot from near the edge of the box, but his shot went wide of the near post.

In the 17th Minute, Qatar had a corner kick, but the Chinese defense line cleared it ball went into the midfield Abdulaziz Hatem received a pass in the left wing. He cut inside the plenty box and tried to score a goal with a curling shot but it went over the bar.

In the 35th minute, Wu Xi Finds unmarked Wei Shihao who takes a shot but Saad Al Sheeb makes a great save and denies the Chinese team from taking the lead. Both teams had plenty of chances in the first half but they did not open the deadlock in the first half.

Second-Half

Qatar coach Tintín Márquez made three changes, Salah Zakaria is in the goal in place of Saad Al Sheeb. Ahmed Al Ganehi in place of Ahmed Alaaeldin. Jassem Gaber Abdulsallam in place of Abdulaziz Hatem. Chinese coach Aleksandar Janković made one change at halftime he brought Xie Pengfei from the bench in place of Lui Binbin.

In the 52nd minute, Qatar won the ball in the mid-field Khalid Muneer A A. Mazeed took the ball and tried a shot from the distance ball went wide from the far post of the goal. In the 64th minute, Qatar coach Tintín Marquez made the final three changes he brought Meeshal Barsham in place of Salah Zakaria. Hassan Al-Haydos in place of Moustafa Tarek Mashal.

Akram Afif in place of Yousuf Abdurisag. In the 66th minute, Qatar had a corner kick, Akram Afif took the corner kick he found unmarked Hassan Al-Haydos outside the box who volleyed the ball into the Chinese goal and scored a spectacular goal. Chinese team tried to score but Qatar survived all their attacks. Qatar took 10 shots only one shot is on the target. The Chinese side also had the same number of shots and 2 shots were on the target. Qatar won the match with 1-0 score line.
