Russia Concert Attack: 4 men charged with an act of Terrorism by Russian Court

Russia Concert Attack,Four men accused of staging the Russia concert hall attack that killed more than 130 people appeared before a Moscow court Sunday on terrorism charges.

The investigators charged Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev, 32; Saidakrami Rachabalizoda, 30; Shamsidin Fariduni, 25; and Mukhammadsobir Faizov, 19, with committing a terrorist attack resulting in the death of others. The offenxe carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. Court statements said two of the suspects accepted their guilt in the assault.

Moscow’s Basmanny District Court ordered that the men, all of whom were identified in the media as citizens of Tajikistan, be held in custody until May 22 pending investigation and trial.

In a series of late-night court hearings in Moscow that ran into the early hours of Monday, the four men – with bruises and cuts over their faces – were dragged into the court in front of dozens of reporters who had assembled at the capital’s Basmanny district court.

On the evening of Friday, March 22, unknown assailants started firing at the Crocus City Hall (concert hall) in Krasnogosark, Moscow region of Russia. Many people have been killed and many people have been injured in this terrorist attack. According to the information, 70 people died in this firing, while more than 130 people got injured. Let us tell you that the attack was carried out by 5 terrorists. Police and other agencies were present near the incident site since the attack. Besides, they were also keeping an eye through helicopter.

According to local media, an explosion took place at the Crocus City Hall shortly after the firing started. Videos and pictures of the fire incident in the concert hall are going viral on social media. Let us tell you that after this attack, Russia’s security agency FSB said that law enforcement agencies are taking necessary steps amid the firing in Moscow’s Crocus City Hall.

Russia said on Saturday it had arrested 11 people in connection with the attack. There has been no information on the other seven. The four suspected shooters were all citizens of Tajikistan, Russian state media reported.

The president of Tajikistan – a Central Asian nation that borders Afghanistan and where Daesh is known to be active – told Putin in a phone call on Sunday: “Terrorists have no nationality.”

Moscow and Dushanbe agreed to “intensify” their counter-terrorism co-operation, the Kremlin said in a readout of the call. The court said two of the defendants had pleaded guilty.

Russian President Vladimir Putin released a statement after a terror attack at a Moscow concert, calling it “barbaric.” Despite ISIS claiming the attack, Putin says the “perpetrators” were headed to the Ukraine border before being captured.

Abroad, people left floral tributes outside Russian embassies.

Putin has vowed to punish those behind the “barbaric terrorist attack”, and on Saturday said the four gunmen had been arrested while trying to flee to Ukraine.

Critics of the Kremlin have questioned why Russia’s powerful security agencies were unable to foil the attack, despite public and private warnings from Western intelligence services just two weeks earlier.

Late on Sunday, French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal announced the country was returning to its top security alert status in the wake of the attack and given “the threats weighing on our country”.
