School bus overturned in Mahendragarh on Eid day: six children died and 15 injured, President and PM Modi expressed grief.
There has been a stir in Mahendragarh due to the overturning of a school bus. Six children died and 15 were seriously injured in this horrific accident. The cause of the accident is said to be overtaking of the vehicle.
A horrific road accident occurred when a school bus overturned near Unhani village of Kanina in Mahendragarh. Six children died and 15 were seriously injured in this accident. Police reached the spot after receiving the information and are investigating the matter.
Former Haryana Education Minister Prof. Ram Bilas Sharma reached the hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured after getting information about the Kanina school bus accident. During this, he consoled the families of the deceased children. According to the information, the son of former Sarpanch Sanjay Sharma, nephew of former Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma, also died in the accident.

Expressing grief over the accident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the bus accident that took place in Mahendragarh, Haryana is extremely painful. My condolences are with all the families who have lost their children in this accident. Along with this, I wish speedy recovery of all the injured children. Under the supervision of the state government, the local administration is engaged in providing all possible assistance to the victims and their families.
Expressing grief over the accident, President Draupadi Murmu said that the news of the death of many innocent children in a school bus accident in Mahendragarh district of Haryana is heart-wrenching. May God give strength to the bereaved parents and family to bear this cruel loss. I wish speedy recovery of the injured children.
Haryana Education Minister Seema Trikha reached the private hospital to inquire about the well-being of 12 students. During this, he told Seema Trikha that private school operators should stop doing business. She said that private school operators should follow the rules. The minister said that an FIR will be lodged against the driver as well as the principal and owner of the school.
She said that opening schools on the Eid holiday is a serious matter. Instructions have been given to all the education officers of the state to take action regarding this. She said that strict action will be taken against schools violating the rules.
The bus of GLP School Kanina had boarded about 43 children from village Sehlang, Khedi-Talvana, Kharkada Bas, Dhanaunda route. After this, at around 8:30 when it reached the college located near village Unhani, the driver lost control of the bus at the turn and the bus overturned after hitting a tree. Some witnesses say that the bus driver was under the influence of alcohol.
