SIT Women police team arrested Prajwal Revanna, MP from Hassan seat, who was expelled from JDS due to allegations of sexual harassment and sex scandal, has returned to India. Revanna, who returned from Germany after 35 days, was arrested by the SIT within minutes of landing at the airport in Bengaluru. He fled the country on 27 April. The special thing is that the team that arrested Revanna at the airport included all women members.
A team of women police led the operation to arrest Prajwal Revanna at Bengaluru airport late on Friday night. This SIT team included all women members. After the arrest, the women police brought Revanna to the CID office.
Besides, a symbolic message was also given to the victims that women officers are not afraid of anyone. This team was led by a woman IPS officer at the airport. Five women officers were also present in the jeep along with Prajwal.
Along with this, the forensic team will also take its audio sample, through which it will be found out whether the voice coming in the viral sex video is that of Prajwal or not. So far, three cases of sexual harassment have been registered against Prajwal.
This week, Prajwal, MP from Hassan seat, had released a video message, in which he promised to appear before the SIT on May 31 and cooperate in the investigation. Prajwal Revanna had fled the country in April after several videos of sexual exploitation went viral in Karnataka. Voting for Hassan seat was held in the second phase on 26 April. On the request of SIT, Interpol had issued a ‘Blue Corner’ notice against Revanna.

What is blue corner notice?
A Blue Corner notice is a type of alert used by Interpol to share information globally about wanted individuals or crimes. This system helps countries to exchange important information and requests for assistance in addressing criminal activities that span across borders.
