Sunrisers Hyderabad VS Mumbai Indians, SRH won the match by 31 runs and clinched the first victory in this Indian Premier League season against Mumbai Indians. Mumbai won the toss and elected to field first. This decision became disastrous for Mumbai Indians. Hyderabad Batters thrashed every Bowler of Mumbai Indians. Travis Head scored 62 runs in his first IPL match, Abhishek Sharma scored 63, Heinrich Klaasen scored 80* runs and Aiden Markram scored 42* runs. Hyderabad put a massive total of 277/3 on the scoreboard in 20 overs.

Mumbai won the toss and elected to field first. Mayank Agarwal and Travis Head came to open for SRH and Kwena Maphaka had a first over for the Mumbai Indians. Mayank Agarwal and Travis Head had a 45-run partnership for the first wicket. In the 5th over, Hardik Pandya bowled bumper on the off stumps to Mayank Agarwal who tried to play pull but he mistimed his shot and Tim David took an easy catch at mid-on. Mayank Agarwal scored 11 runs off 13 balls.

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma punished Mumbai India’s bowlers with their attacking batting style in front of their home fans. They build a 68-run partnership for the second wicket. In the 8th over, Gerald Coetzee bowled length bowl in the tramline on-off to Travis Head who tried to reach in the end he sliced the ball and Naman Dhir at deep third picked a catch near boundary ropes. Travis Head scored 62 runs off 24 balls. Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Markram had a 48-run partnership for the third wicket.

In the 11th over, Piyush Chawla bowled quicker and flatter to Abhishek Sharma who played a shot but mistimed it and the ball went into the hands of Naman Dhir at deep mid-wicket. Abhishek Sharma scored 63 runs off 23 balls. Heinrich Klaasen and Aiden Markram finished the Sunrisers’ innings with the style they built a 117-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Aiden Markram scored 42* runs off 28 balls and Heinrich Klaasen scored 80 runs off 34 balls. SRH scored 277/3 in 20 overs.


Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan came to open for Mumbai Indians and Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a first over. Umran Malik came as an impact player in place of Travis Head. Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma had a 56-run partnership for the first wicket. In the 4th over, Shabaz Ahmed bowled nagging length in on-off to Ishan Kishan who played a slog sweep but he did not get as much distance as he liked and Aiden Markram took a catch at deep mid-wicket. Ishan Kishan scored 34 runs off 13 balls.

In the 5th over, Pat Cummins bowled a short in the middle stumps to Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma cramped while playing the pull shot and the ball went in the deep square leg and Abhishek Sharma took a running catch. Rohit Sharma scored 26 runs off 12 balls. Tilak Verma and Naman Dhir had a 84-run partnership.

In the 11th over, Jaydev Unadkat bowled back of the length delivery in an on-off to Naman Dhir who played a shot but the ball did not elevation as he liked and Pat Cummins took a catch at Extra Covers. Naman Dhir scored 30 runs off 14 balls. Tilak Verma and Hardik Pandya had a 32-run partnership for 4th wicket. In the 15th over, Pat Cummins bowled back of the length slower ball in outside off to Tilak Verma and tried to hit a shot but in the end, he hit straight into the hands of Mayank Agarwal at offside. Tilak Verma scored 64 runs off 34 balls.

Tim David and Hardik Pandya had a 42-run partnership for the 5th wicket. In the 18th over, Hardik Pandya was caught behind by Heinrich Klaasen in the ball of Jaydev Udankut. Hardik Pandya scored 24 runs off 20 balls. Tim David scored 42* runs off 22 balls and Romario Shepherd scored 15* runs off 6 balls. Mumbai Indians scored 246/5 in 20 overs. SRH won the match by 31 runs.
