Vijay Devarakonda and Mrunal Thakur starrer movie Family Star, The teaser of Telugu movie “Family Star” was out earlier in first week of March. Written and directed by Parsuram Petla, the film stars Vijay Devarakonda and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles.
The teaser has Deverakonda as a working class hero, who will resort to violence if his family is put in any sort of harm. He is shown as a middle class person, who is breaking beer bottles and bones of goons. Being a family guy, he is also a bit of a penny pincher, who demands the girl to spend for petrol if he has to give her a lift. Mrunal comes towards the tail end of the promo.
Their encounter occurs at a bus stand, where she requests a ride to her college. Vijay responds, “Buy me petrol, and I will surely drop you.”
Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in Kushi, which was a decent hit. On the other hand, Mrunal Thakur was last seen opposite Nani in “Hi Nanna”.
With audiences eagerly anticipating the on-screen chemistry between Mrunal and Vijay, ‘Family Star’ promises to deliver a captivating narrative. Director Parasuram’s vision, coupled with the star-studded cast, ensures a cinematic experience that will resonate with audiences.

Apart from ‘Family Star’, Mrunal has ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ alongside Huma Qureshi in the pipeline.
The song, Madhuramu, was launched on March 25th. In addition to the song and trailer, the team is said to have multiple events to augment the hype. Family Star is Vijay Deverakonda and Parasuram’s second film after the blockbuster Geetha Govindam.

The star-studded cast of ‘The Family Star’ includes Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, Divyansha Kaushik, Vasuki, Ajay Ghosh, and Abigayle Scobee, among others, in pivotal roles. Directed by Parasuram Petla and produced under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC) by Dil Raju and Sirish, the film boasts a talented crew, including composer Gopi Sundar, cinematographer K U Mohanan, and editor Marthan K. Venkatesh.
In a recent development, it has been revealed that producer Dil Raju has struck a lucrative deal for the digital streaming rights of ‘The Family Star’ with the industry giant Amazon Prime Video. Following its successful theatrical run, the film will make its digital premiere on the Prime Video platform on a designated date.
“The budget for the family drama has touched Rs 50 crores,‘ says a source who adds, “It is the highest budget for a Vijay Devarakonda movie till date,’ he adds. Earlier, the teaser of Mrunal Thakur and Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film ‘Family Star’ was released on March 4.
The makers recently unveiled the film’s first single “Nandanandanaa”. Gopi Sundar, who worked with Deverakonda and the director in Geetha Govindam, has been roped in for Family Star.
Taking to his X handle, Vijay Deverakonda shared a new poster of the film and announced the release date. He wrote, “Arriving. April 05 2024 #FamilyStar (sic).”
