West Indies VS New Zealand, WI won the match by 13 runs against New Zealand in the T-20 World Cup Group Stage match. WI qualified for the Super-8 and New Zealand had a very slim chance to qualify for the next round of the T-20 World Cup. In this match, Kiwi won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Trent Boult provided a perfect start to Kiwi they got their first wicket. Kiwi put so much pressure on the WI batting line but Sherfane Rutherford remains not out despite his teammate departing early he managed to score 68* runs off 39 balls WI scored 149/9 in 20 overs. Trent Boult took three wickets, and Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson took 2 wickets each.
Kiwi had a 20-run opening partnership between Devon Conway and Fin Allen. Akeal Hosein broke through WI by taking Devon Conway’s wicket. Fin Allen scored 26 runs for Kiwi and Glenn Phillips scored 40 runs but they failed to achieve their target. New Zealand Scored 136/9 in 20 overs. They fell short of 13 Runs. Alzarri Joseph took 4 wickets and Gudakesh Motie took 3 wickets. Sherfune Rutherford won the Players of the Match Award.
