England Beat India by 28 runs in the First test. England visited India for 5 test match series. India was playing its first test match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. England won the toss and elected to bat first. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets each. Axar Patel and Jaspreet Bumrah took 2 Wickets each. England’s Captain Ben Stokes scored 70 runs innings and helped his team to score 246 runs. Indian team scored 436 runs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Scored 80 runs, Kl Rahul scored 86, and Ravindra Jadeja scored 87. Joe Root took 4 wickets, and Tom Hartley and Rehan Ahmed took 2 each. For England, Olive Pope scored 196 runs and Ben Duckett scored 47 runs. England all out at score 420 runs in their second innings and set a target of 231 runs. In the 12th over, Tom Hartley Bowls in leg stumps, Yashasvi Jaiswal steps out of the crease and looks to flick but the ball goes straight into the hand of Olive Pope at the short leg. In the 41st over, Jack Leach bowls fuller on leg stumps, Shreyas Iyer tried to drive but it takes the outside edge of the ball and goes into the hands of Joe Root at the first slip. Shreyas Iyer scored 13 runs off 31 balls.

In the 62nd over, Tom Hartley bowled out Srikar Bharat who scored 28 runs off 59 balls. In the 64th over, Tom Hartley bowls at off stumped line, Ravichandran Ashwin steps outside the crease swung his bat but he completely misses the ball Ben Foakes removes the bails. Ravichandran Ashwin scored 28 runs off 84 balls.

 

In the 70th over, Mohammad Siraj stepped outside the crease but missed the ball Ben Foakes collected the ball and removed the bail. Tom Hartley Picked his 7th wicket in this innings. Mohammad Siraj scored 12 runs off 20 balls. Jaspreet Bumrah Scored not out 6 runs off 18 balls. England won the match by 18 runs. England takes the lead of 1-0 in a match test series. Olive Pope won the Player of the Match award. India will play the next match with England in Dr. Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium – Visakhapatnam on 2-6 February.
